Josh assisted my Mum this evening who has Alzheimer’s & dementia & she had a problem with her fire alarm detectors. I contacted Josh mid-afternoon & by 630 pm he had the problem sorted for her – I’m in Oxfordshire & Mum’s in Cornwall so I was unable to personally do it myself for her. He was polite, courteous, professional & my Mum said he was a lovely young man, who took his shoes off at the door & even had nice white socks on 🙂 Thank you so much Josh, I shall know who to contact next time I have a problem with electric’s, you were an absolute gem. Slightly reluctant to write this, as decent reliable sparkies are rarer than hens’ teeth and one’s tempted to guard them jealously, but credit where credit’s due…
I left a message for Taylor Electrical last night at about 9 pm with a moderate emergency having no lighting in part of our industrial unit in Bodmin. It was a minor health and safety issue and not critical, but urgent for us if we were to run our Friday smoothly.
Josh called me at 08:30 this morning, and told me he could be with us in the afternoon. I was awaiting returned calls from 9 other electricians, but I accepted. He then called an hour or so later to say he could get to us earlier. He and Martin were with us by about 10:30. They had diagnosed and repaired the fault and replaced the offending gear within a couple of hours, given us a bit of a health check and were gone by 12:30 having cleaned up after themselves. Their price was very reasonable too considering the urgency. My new favourite sparky!
Only one other electrician called me back out of a total of 10. There are apparently still some electricians out there who have the decency to return an emergency call but they are few and far between.
Well done Taylor Electrical! You deserve to thrive when plenty of others don’t.

When our water heater fuse started to melt, we panicked! Found Taylors on Cornish Traders, liked the reviews so gave Josh a call. He came over and made everything safe within 15 minutes of my call at 5.30 pm. Fantastic service!
