Welcome to First Call Skips. We are a friendly, local, family run business based right here in the heart of Cornwall. Here at first call skips we still believe in reclaiming as many valuable resources from your waste as possible. There has been a recent shift towards just shredding all waste and sending it for incineration and claiming the Energy from Waste is recycling.  We believe this to be contrary to the Waste Hierarchy of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Recover.  This is mainly for convenience and means less staff are required but valuable resources are lost.  Our old school techniques may be more labour intensive but we put reuse and recycling at the heart of our business and make sure anything that can be diverted from landfill and the incinerator is and then sent to be part of the circular economy.

From our earliest days we have strived to provide our customers with the best service we can. Our 98% on time delivery rate is only spoilt when circumstances beyond our control interfere with our careful planning but rest assured we still pull out all the stops to ensure these issues are overcome on the rare occasions they occur. We run a well maintained fleet of FORS compliant vehicles to help us ensure a smooth running service.
