Zak has done a fantastic job of replacing all the old light fittings in my house with 48 new downlights. He came out and gave a proper quote which was very competitive, his communication is excellent, he left my house neat and tidy every day, he was very professional and friendly and works to a high standard. He also installed an electric heater in the cloakroom, made some upgrades to our consumer unit, fixed a fault with the wiring, replaced our out of date fire alarms and put a new switch on my extractor fan. He provided the relevant certificates once the work was complete. We are so pleased with all the jobs Zak carried out and wouldn’t hesitate to contact him next time we have more electrical work.

Carrying on from my previous review of our new shop in Penzance, this is for our own home which Domestic Electric – Zak – is completely rewiring.
Zak is once again working alongside more workpeople & tradespeople in – what might as well be – a complete rebuild of the internals of our new home. Most of the innards have had to be replaced (ceiling of ground floor/floor of first floor, beams & all) with Zak taking the lead on electrics.
Not only this, Zak was quick to identify a few dangerous issues with both the current wiring, and even the structure of the house, which – working alongside our builders on site – has now been swiftly fixed. This involved the very structure holding up the roof. The electrical problem was a danger that required contact and support from Western Power, which Zak was quick to organise & make safe with.
Again I find myself with massive praise for Zak & the work he’s done/doing. Again the pricing was very good compared to others, with the quality of work being very high. He has once again helped problem solve and find solutions where we – myself & my partner – would usually not have any.
Again, big thanks to Zak/Domestic Electric. Highly recommend.

I am one of four owners of Game On Cornwall in Penzance.
We were in a pinch as a previous quote from a local electrician did not seem correct, & the work seemed off – even to layman’s such as us. We had a desperate situation where we either bit the bullet on a quote that was clearly meant to push us away from using it, or find someone extremely short notice at a time where most tradespersons are booked up months ahead, & even refusing to book more.
We found Domestic Electric – Zack – and he was very kind enough to give us a next day survey. The survey went very well, and all owners had a good gut feeling – something we take seriously.
The quote came through significantly lower than the previous company, but not so low it was questionable for the opposite reasons.
Zack was already busy, but had a cancellation that he immediately put us in. Considering we had an entire Penzance high street shop to get a lot of wiring work done in, this was amazing.
Zack worked alongside & with our other tradespeople & handypeople on site, over a couple of weeks, and on a few single days, to help us open on our planned day, ready for Christmas trading.
If it weren’t for Zack, we wouldn’t have opened, and would likely now be waiting until March to open.
I have since requested and have Zack doing a full re-wire on our soon to be home in Camborne, where he is again working alongside & with other tradespeople on site.
On a personal note, Zack is a very friendly and positive person, whilst making pricing/costing very clear and concise. He made sure we knew our options, and was helpful in finding solutions where we had none, and at times where we had some, but others were available that we could not see.
I would always highly recommend Domestic Electric.

This is the third time, that I have used the services of DE (Mr Johnson), a straight forward wall mounted fire installation during Q1-2021, then the Instalation of a 16 port Emporia CU system from the USA back in June 2021 and today DE fitted three Salus Radio Frequency thermostats to my complex underfloor heating system which has proved to be a great success.
