Mr G from M& A plumbing came to my home and produced a sales quotation invoice from a business known as Plumbase, Liskeard, the value on this invoice over £2000 and he claimed he required full payment for these materials in order to start the job. Obviously, I paid him in full immediately However he ordered the wrong bath and when the materials arrived the Invoice with the materials was from a business in Saltash known as Wolseley. The total on the invoice just over £700 for the similar items, I am currently waiting for an explanation from the two branches of the same company. Mr G said don`t worry I will sort it! His work pattern was a few hours here and there on the odd day claiming it was a big job! Despite having a blank canvass with him being told the house would be vacant from Early May Bank Holiday through to late May Bank holiday he failed to complete blaming access! He was contracted to replace bath with shower over, replace toilet and replace basin. Cover existing wall with cladding. The job was never completed to the industry standard. During his odd times of being on site we experienced 5 floods due to his mistakes or poor workmanship. Bizarre practises such as silicone the cistern lid to the cistern casing, fitting leaking, poor quality joints on cladding, loose shower, loose shower rail, cladding not flush with wall leaving hollow where you can see the brown raw plugs behind the cladding going into the wall. He demanded more money when he believed he was close to completion and was told he would only get paid in full when the job and any “snagging” was completed. Have not seen him since although he was contacted over further serious issues but refused to sort them out. We had to use two other competent plumbers to put right his damage. The evidence is on site for all to see and I will be putting photos together with video online in due course.
Response from business owner:
I did a full bathroom suite and cladding for this customer, I did not demand a deposit for £2000 he offered to pay me upfront, the customer was not living at the property so I could get on with the work, there was also a plumber fitting a new gas boiler who told me that he wasn’t gas safe.
I couldn’t continue till he did the pipework and bathroom radiator was fitted, so I waited till he had done it, then they decided to move into the property which made things worse with two plumbers working at the same time. I had finally finished the work having to manoeuvre round furniture and boxes, and was waiting for the pipework from the other plumber to be done so I couldn’t connect it under the bath, the water was turned off until the work was completed, I told him to call me as soon as he finished, but I had a call from the customer saying there was a leak, which obviously happened when the other plumber turned the water back on, so I could be there when I could be there to test my pipework, he didn’t call me, the customer called me saying I had caused a flood I offered to go back to sort it out but he wouldn’t let me and said he got another plumber to finish my work. I said that if he let another plumber touch my pipework, I wouldn’t be liable for any more problems as he refused to allow me to sort it. That was the only leak he called me about, there wasn’t five floods as he states but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was his other plumber I saw his pipework which he had done all round the ceiling for some reason instead of under the floor or round the skirting sides.
As for demanding money and doing shoddy work is all lies, he sent me photos of cladding coming away from the walls it wasn’t like that when I was there last, I have done loads of bathrooms with cladding with no complaints.

Adrian did a shower installation for me and did a great job and I have already recommended him to family and friends if they have an jobs in the future, a very kind and talkative gentleman and very knowledgeable about his skill set and he also was very helpful about other plumbing issues I had around the house with leaking under sink pipes etc, always made sure to bring a sheet with him so that he didn’t leave a mess and cleaned up after himself.

Adrian has always been my main plumber that I go to, Recently I had a tap fitted in my garden installed on the main wall of the house. Adrian has always been very friendly and respectful of my home he always cleans up and makes sure he does a debrief with me before leaving.

I found Adrian online and he fitted the plumbing work for the bathroom, including an over-bath shower.
I was very pleased with the work, and he’s a very friendly tradesperson
