We are a small family run business based in the heart of Cornwall. We pride ourselves on making every effort possible to give a good first fix ratio and doing the job in question to the best of our ability. We always have the customers best interests at heart and understand the importance of your equipment. We will do our best to offer an economical and fast solution, offering where possible a same day call out and do our up most to offer a first call fix. We are F-GAS qualified and certified.

Here at LJR Refrigeration we specialise in Air conditioning and heat pumps in Cornwall. Whether its an office space you need heating and cooling, or your home heated we have you covered. We pride ourselves on our installations using only high spec components and correctly sized systems. A/C is well known for its cooling ability but it is also a highly efficient heating option with up to 500% efficiency. We can install Air conditioning in the workplace, homes, caravans, holiday homes you name it.

We cover all refrigeration in Cornwall from small under-counter fridges to huge walk in cold stores. We have over 15 years experience in the industry, and provide a modern and friendly approach. With our hard work and dedication to the job we have built up a good base of customers since establishing LJR Refrigeration back in 2017.

We had LjR heating install our air source heating system for us last week. Lewis came and designed our system and also fitted it. We were replacing 5 costly storage heaters that were very inefficient. Lewis, being a qualified engineer and fully registered (I checked) explained the system and its benefits to us without making any ridiculous claims. We went ahead and now have the system installed. Despite the poor weather the system went in well and we have been running it for a week now. The house is warm, the humidity lower, air quality greatly improved and generally our home is far more comfortable. The units are easy to control and very efficient – we can even control the main one from our smart phones while out so we can wake it up to come home to a warm home. I have been monitoring our power consumption via a smart meter and I am using a fraction of the electricity that I used to use with the storage heater system but now I have full control when I have the heat and how much. The system also has individual timers so you can automate the whole system if you want to. The fans are very quiet and we don’t notice its on. As for recommending LjR I have absolutely no reservations what so ever. Having the person sell the system that actually installs it makes such a difference, it’s just right and done properly with no silly sales gimmicks. If you are thinking about air source heating then LjR is the company to go to for a great price, friendly service and nothing was too much trouble. We have just had an air to air heating system installed in our house by Lewis and we can honestly say it is the best heating system that we have ever had. The whole house is warm and toasty, no cold spots. I was a little anxious with regards to how the wall units would look and also how noisy they would be, I needn’t have worried on either account. The quiet setting is hardly audible and the units are great quality, look fine and leave the lower wall space free. The outside units are substantial, quality units that are not at all unsightly and again the noise levels when they are running is low. My other concern was how much they would cost to run and again we have been pleasantly surprised. We have monitored it for the first two weeks and our electric bill has only increased by approximately £13pw, this is for a large detatched 4 bedroom house that is mostly open plan downstairs and we have had it set at 20 degrees during the day and slightly higher in the evening. The installation went smoothly and Lewis advised us every step of the way. I would highly recommend Lewis and the air to air heating system. 5 stars for both.

I have just had 2 air conditioning/ heating units installed by LjR refrigeration. I am very pleased with the results. The work was completed with no mess, and the units look great. The outside work is very tidy. I was keen that the work should be completed by them, and not outsourced, this was done, they found ways to hide a lot of the trunking, which is great. They also installed a very useful loft hatch, which I am very pleased about. The units are quiet, which is important to me. I can now heat my living, and bedroom, very quickly, and when we do have some hot weather, I can be very comfortable. I have no hesitation in recommending their work.
