We had our boiler & gas fire service carried out by Ed along with a cooker safety check. His service was exemplary. His knowledge, friendliness and value for money was second to none. He was keen to offer good advice & we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend his services.

Ed was called some time ago to fix a leaky tap fitting discovered by a student in a house that I rent to him in Falmouth. He duly contacted the students made arrangements to sort it out and did just that. I have trust in this company and would be happy to use them again.

Ed did an excellent job identifying and fixing an ongoing problem with the boiler. He worked quickly and efficiently and, best of all, didn’t over charge me. I would highly recommend him.

We were recommended Ed/Innovations by a neighbour after being let down by a national retailer. Ed’s first task was to find a non-existent gas leak and turn our gas supply back on. Excellent fitting of the cylinder and very neat and tidy. The night after fitting there was a leak ON EXISTING PIPE WORK and not the fault of the plumber. At 7.15 in the morning he came over to the house, identified the leak behind the wall, and fixed it. Amazing service at such short notice and so early in the morning. Would highly recommend to anyone and personally will only use this service in the future.

I cannot recommend Ed highly enough. The cottage we bought had some dodgy plumbing in and presented some challenges when trying to resolve. From the minute I met Ed when he came around to quote he was incredibly helpful making suggestions and helping us research the best solution to our problems prior to even booking him in to complete the work. The standard of workmanship was high and his quick communication, professional attitude, and very amenable character mean we will not use any other plumber in the future.

After a company causing a leak, after trying to connect a new washing machine on Christmas eve, Mum had been left without water for four days from Christmas eve, whilst waiting on her Corgihome plan insurer to send an engineer (They never did). We contacted Ed on the 28th and he was with us within 2 hours of calling and rectified the issue for her. Great service. Great Price. Would highly recommend, Mum said she couldn’t have asked for a better person to help her. He even gave us a report to use as evidence against the company that caused the leak in the first place, with photos.

Ed arrived exactly on time, was efficient, informative and easy to talk to. He advised us on a few things that we had not previously known about our boiler connection, serviced the boiler and cleaned the filter. Afterwards he emailed a gas safety record which is not something we had received from our previous plumber. Thank you to Checkatrade website, highly recommended.

This was not a straightforward boiler repair and Ed worked as quick as possible to complete the work. Only took a little longer due to waiting for parts to arrive. Not his fault. Constantly kept informed via phone and text to either myself or husband. Polite and a clean worker. Even took off his boots before coming in the house! No time wasting with breaks. This is the second time we’ve called upon the services of Ed from Innovations and were once again very happy with the service we received. Living away from the property we needed someone reliable and trustworthy and this is what we got from Innovations. The water heater in kitchen had been reported to cause problems I called Ed of Innovations who I have used before we agreed that it seemed as if heater had failed and it seemed prudent to change complete unit. Ed spoke to tenants and agreed date and time. Heater was then changed and I was called to say that all was well. I would happily use the company again as they have proved to be very reliable, helpful and professional. Thank you.

Ed was on time, polite and courteous. He recommisioned our boiler, and installed new boiler and heating pumps, as well as 4 new radiators. Happy with Ed’ s work and will use him for all of our plumbing jobs in the future.

Ed diagnosed the problem, investigated solutions and solved the complex problem for us. The work was carried out in a very professional and efficient way and has provided us with wonderfully hot water with extremely good flow. We are more than happy to recommend him – in fact we’ve booked him to fit a new bathroom sink for us. It has been a relief to find someone local who is honest and reliable.

Ed started work on the first day exactly when he said he would. He was punctual every morning. He worked hard, was no trouble to have around, kept cheerful and was pleasant to talk to. The work was completed on time, and was efficiently carried out. We were very pleased with what he’d done and would recommend him to anyone.

The job involved installing a new boiler and replacing old radiators with new. Very neat outcome. The standard of workmanship is high. He sent back damaged stock because he wanted a good finish for us. The working area was tidied up at the end of the day and all the old items removed from the house. Important to me was he kept to his dates and times, advising me in advance of any changes. But more than that was the adhoc advice Ed shared. Ed debated the general idea of 10 scores but if I asked the question what more could he do if I scored him less then I don’t have an answer.

Ed used to be my old plumber and electrician in Ashford (Kent) until he moved to Cornwall. I was looking for advice with reg. To a new hob but the 350 miles between us made it impossible for him to pop by and have a look. But I knew I could call Ed to discuss my options. Ed was thorough in explaining what I had to look for and told me that I could order the oven without needing an electrician to do the swap. I can’t recommend Ed enough! All the jobs he undertook in Ashford were extremely well carried out and I was very sad to see him leave. Cornwall: you’re very lucky to have an asset like Ed!!

Third person to try sort out problem. Previous two did as requested but wouldn’t contact me after further problems arose. Isolation valve blew- water everywhere but he had the tools and equipment to sort it out. Had to extend pipe length due to previous installing plumber’s faulty work. Very impressed with Ed.

Ed is very personable, courteous, informative and a pleasure to deal with. He replied promptly to my email and came to do the work quickly. As a result he will be doing other work for us, about which he spent a lot of time helping us decide what would suit us best and advising on the different products available.

Ed was really kind, helpful and friendly, he explained to both myself and my tenants in detail about the work that was done and made helpful recommendations as to what could be done in the future to save me money and time. I had a slight mishap involving a drill bit and an electrical wire in my kitchen. It was a cold Saturday night in February, rubbish weather, and we lost all electrics which also meant no heating. I phoned Ed who came straight out despite being with his family at the time. He sorted the issue very quickly and replaced everything he moved including where he’d had to pull up a carpet upstairs to access the wire. It’s not often you have a chat with a tradesman at the end of the job asking why his rates aren’t higher. I’d have happily paid more. He’s coming back to do more work next week now.

Courteous, prompt, honest and clear. Everything you want from a tradesman really. Very pleased with the level of service given after I was let down by another very well known local company. Would recommend and will be using again when the need arises.

I was kept informed about availability and cost of my replacement shower, was able to arrange fitting within a week of agreeing to work. Very tidy and clean workspace, trustworthy and no hesitation in using Innovations again.

Our central heating stopped working last Friday and I rang around all the local tradesmen who said they couldn’t come out that day. This was a huge problem as we do B and B and had an old person staying and didn’t want them to be cold but it made no difference. Out of desperation I searched wider afield than the St. Ives area and found Ed at Innovations who came out that same day to my relief even though he was 30 miles away and temporarily fixed the problem so we could have heating over the weekend and then came back with the parts to fit it as planned. Thank you Ed.

Ed came in at the pre-arranged time, quickly diagnosed the problem with our underfloor heating system, immediately ordered a new board, came back, fitted and tested – all working fine now. Ed is friendly, knowledgeable and efficient.

Firstly I want to straight away recommend Ed. Last year I had a problem with the boiler and he came out to my property and went through what was going on, thought the problem self fixed itself, he still didn’t charge me a call out fee. That alone stands out as what type of workman he is, and that’s an honest one, that’s why I had him out this time time around, because I genuinely believe he isn’t trying it on, for example on this call out I was pretty much expecting a boiler replacement, he got it apart and fixed it, saving me probably thousands, I can’t recommend this guy enough! A+

I paid a local Penzance gas firm to install a boiler at a rental property. They installed the flue upside down and the rain water entered the boiler and caused damage. Another local gas fitter informed me that I needed a complete new boiler, rad valves and a new gas supply line at considerable cost. I suspected that this was not the most economic solution to what was poor workmanship in the first place. I contacted Ed (who was unknown to me beforehand) and he visited the property, serviced the boiler, issued the required certifictate and addressed the pressure loss. A win win situation! Thanks

Ed was very helpful right from my initial enquiry, replying very promptly to my emails. He actually fitted in the job earlier than the date originally agreed. It was only a boiler service on this occasion but I would be very happy to use him again for my annual boiler service or any other work that might be needed in the future.

We’ve used his service for several jobs, from annual service for our boiler, trouble shooting electrical problems, right through to a full rewire and power supply install. The quality of his work is outstanding; his quotes are fair and accurate; and he communicates clearly about what he is doing, when he is going to be on site, and for how long. He keeps his word. He’s also friendly and very personable. He even looked after our dog on one job when we had to go out! Highly recommended.
